Japanese cocktail bars in Singapore - my favourites
I love bars in Singapore, wanted to share some Japanese bars that I personally like.
RPM by Dbespoke (16 Duxton Rd, Singapore 089482)
This is more like a hidden gem to be honest. Not super crowded (but still best to make reservation via phone call) while the drinks, ambience and food are all great. You can see that they have Vinyl music ;) My favourite drink here is Kame Aged Kobe style whisky highball ($27). Really delicate and without ice because it is Kobe style. They have extensive superb Japanese cocktail menu and food menu. Now I crave those..
Live Twice (18-20 Bukit Pasoh Rd, Singapore 089834)
Relaxed and chic mid-century Japan-inspired bar at Outram Park... and I like their wagyu katsu sando ($44). Expensive but good.. they have happy hour till 730pm ($16 if I am not wrong) so good to aim for that! Service is great too. I usually hop over to second floor, Gibson, another great bar.
Last Word (8 Purvis St, #02-01, Singapore 188587)
Again, their cocktails are Japan-inspired, above Nutmeg & Clove, which is also popular. Their food is izakaya type of food, which I like. They used to have happy hour till 7pm with $16 cocktails. But I haven't vistied recently.
D.Bespoke (2 Bukit Pasoh Rd, Singapore 089816)
They have good selection of whiskey, superb service by Japanese crew, but ambience is more slow & quiet and conventional Japanese type with lounge seats. Really unique in Singapore, but I would say the age group is older here.
Please share if you have any other Japanese bars you like! or anywhere, I would love to try!
Happy weekend!
