Rosemead (Raffles Place) - Fresh American Grill dining by Jigger & Pony Group
Jigger & Pony Group is one of the best bar group and I heard that they also opened a American grill dining place called Rosemead. Address is 19 Cecil St, Singapore 049704.
If you recall, it replaced the old Black Swan location.
Above is famous "Shitake Soukupan" ($16) - maple kombu glaze & cultured butter. This is a huge bread, savoury and tasty. Portion is too big, two of us were not able to finish it. The bottom dish is "warm cheese puff" ($14 two pieces) which you can taste thick smoky cheddar, gruyere and parmesan. A guilty pleasure!
This is "Ora King Salmon" ($45), well cooked but not eye-opening. Too safe choice if you have high expectation... you can skip this
This is standard "Brussels Sprouts" ($25) - an easy option but done well. Good supplement to main dishes.
"Heritage Pork Chop" ($52) was decent - sweet sour glaze is savoury and all the dishes are grilled / charred well.
This is the ambience and they have decent list of wine menu as well.
This is the food menu and prices. After dining here you can just go upstairs for a glass of cocktail at Sugarhall (also under Jigger & Pony).
Overall the food is decent but not amazing to be honest. They have got good bakeries, staffs are sweet and nice. Ambience is great. Also good for casual work lunch / client lunch or meetings I think.
How did you find Rosemead?
(not paid content, my own. thanks)
