I think this is a hidden gem! It's Kumi Den at Duxton, Tanjong Pagar. I went for Friday night dinner, and interestingly the restaurant was only half occupied.

Their wines are natural wines, I think those are quite nicely curated. If you are looking for something not so funky, you can try "Free to be" or get recommendations!

This is what we ordered:

Stuffed Organic Chicken Wings ($19 for two) - this was superb! Chicken wings are filled with otah, with a hint of lemongrass. We loved it.

Black Angus Beef Tartare w/ roasted garlic toast: $23 (+Hokkaido Uni $19) - This can't go wrong. Just as good as we expected from the menu, but not too special to be honest compared to other dishes.

‘Yumepirika’ seafood risotto ($36) - this was the highlight of the night! Super thick seafood taste and umami with generous uni and prawn... I am coming back for this for sure!

Osso Bucco w/ potato mousseline ($40) - this was decent as well. Good for red wines. The one in the middle is bone marrow if you like it!

It was only two of us, so we couldn't try more but dishes prepared from open kitchen all looked so good...!

I feel blessed to find a super decent restaurant / gastro bar that I can even try to walk-in!
