My kid is calling our domestic helper, mum… what should I do?
I am a working mum and I get back home around 7pm. My kid is 3 yrs old and he recently started to call our helper, mum... Helper is spending the most time with my boy and I am very sad to hear helper being called as mum. I think our helper is quite good person but looks like somehow my son is confused.
Has anyone experienced the same thing? My husband and I try hard to tell our boy that I am the mum and the helper is auntie, it is taking time I guess.
Just shouting out here...

It's important to gently address the situation by having a conversation with your child, explaining the difference between their domestic helper and their mother. You might say, "While it's lovely to bond with her, you have one mum, and it's important to call her by her name." Lastly, set clear boundaries and encourage your child to use the helper's name to foster respect for both relationships.

I am sorry to hear this… You should teach your son that you are the mum. Do role playing or games that makes him to call you mum. This needs to be corrected ASAP.
What does helper say? Do you have a home camera?
thanks! The helper says she is not sure why… and no we don’t have a home camera. Do you recommend one?
I am pretty sure helper taught the kid to call her baby… which shouldn’t happen…
Yes I recommend home camera. One for everyone’s safety matter, second trust matter…
I see. Let me discuss with my husband.. Thank you!
