I have a newborn and we are flying from Korea to SG. Any tips for 6 hours flight with a newborn?

I am quite worried… It’s my first time and my husband is not flying together because of work matter so I am flying with my baby. It’s an economy seat Singapore Airlines.

Make sure to pack enough diapers, wipes, and a change of clothes for both you and the baby, as well as a comfort item or blanket for soothing. Feed your newborn during takeoff and landing to help ease ear pressure, and consider using a baby carrier for added comfort while navigating the airport. Finally, bring along a portable white noise machine or app to help your newborn sleep during the flight.

I feel you… I had to fly when my baby was 50 days old. I recommend seats near toilet (because you need to change diapers often) and front or back seat where air is not so much stuffy.

Do you breastfeed? I fed formula so I brought warm/hot water in tumblers, baby bottle and 6 portion of formula. Also consider travel time between your home/hotel to airport.

I took night flight because I didn’t want to disturb other passengers. Luckily our baby slept all along. I also woke baby up and fed during departure and arrival so the baby didn’t cry at all! Phew… I took SQ as well and flight attendants were very helpful and friendly too. good luck!

thank you all! For those who breastfed, did you do so inflight?

Yes! If you have window seat people won’t be able to see. If not formula… :) And also get bassinets inflight early! It’s first come first served because it’s only for few seats in front
